Lowell Observatory Kids Camp.

Lowell Observatory is pleased to offer our third Kids Camp during the summer of 2014. These activity-based, week-long day camps meet Monday through Friday from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M., with graduation and family activities on Friday evening.

The camps will be repeated throughout the summer so you can choose a date that best fits your schedule. Students will be divided into three separate groups based on grade level child will enter in fall 2014 (1st/2nd/3rd, 4th/5th, 6th/7th). Each of these groups will be limited to 16 kids.

1st/2nd/3rd: Exploring The Moon
4th/5th: Discovering the Sun
6th/7th: Lighting our Way: Using Light to Learn About the Universe

The camps will cover all aspects of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). Each camp will include a week long STEAM project that will greatly enhance campers competence in these areas. The camps will be filled with hands-on science activities and investigations. Campers will also have the opportunity to collect data with a telescope and will learn how to analyze the data and draw conclusions.

The cost per student is $200. Friends of Lowell get $25 off; you can sign up to become a member today and apply the discount.
