DESCRIPTION:We’re teaming up with McDonald Observatory in West Texas for the 2022 Mars Opposition! Starting at 7pm MST on December 8\, John Compton and Kevin Schindler of Lowell Observatory will join members of the McDonald team in a discussion about all things Mars. They’ll take a deep dive into the Red Planet’s science\, history\, geology\, and more\, plus the ins and outs of future missions to its surface. If weather permits\, we’ll also enjoy some live views of Mars from telescopes located at both sites!
