BS University of Oregon, 2015

Annika Gustafsson specializes in near-infrared spectroscopy of small solar system bodies, including both comets and asteroids, to better understand their physical properties.

After earning dual undergraduate degrees at the University of Oregon, Gustafsson enrolled in Northern Arizona University’s PhD program. She worked with Dr. Nick Moskovitz at Lowell Observatory and has spent much of her time at Lowell developing and commissioning the Lowell Discovery Telescope’s Near-Infrared High Throughput Spectrograph (NIHTS). Annika is currently a postdoc at SwRI in Boulder, working with Silvia Protopapa.
