Dr. Tyler Ryburn
Percival Lowell Postdoctoral Fellow
Stellar Astronomy / Exoplanets
PhD Arizona State University, 2022
Dr. Ryburn joined Lowell Observatory as a postdoctoral researcher in 2022. Her primary research interests are in characterizing the early evolution of low-mass stars (stars smaller than our Sun), interpreting what this means in our understanding of their natures, and determining how this impacts the planets orbiting them.
Dr. Ryburn uses both ground- and space-based instruments primarily in the UV, optical, and infrared to study stars and exoplanets. She is currently using the 4.3-m Lowell Discovery Telescope to understand how different layers of stellar atmospheres evolve in time.
