This month’s speaker is Lowell researcher Dr. Teddy Kareta, who will be talking about chaos from the evening weather forecast to the chance of an asteroid hitting the Earth a few decades from now, the inherent unpredictability of complex systems — affects our lives in more ways than we can count. In this fun and accessible talk, Dr. Teddy Kareta will build on the goofy outline of chaos that Jeff Goldblum’s character gives in Jurassic Park to explore all the ways that chaos plays out across the solar system — and what it says for the future of the Earth.
