Shocked Poststarburst Galaxy Candidates

Galaxies that are transitional between active star-forming and quiescent phases are known as shocked poststarburst galaxies. Antoniu Fodor of the University of Toledo—one of Lowell Observatory’s LDT institutional science partners—uses the LDT to identify and study them. Tonight, he will join Lowell Historian Kevin Schindler to share the results of this research.
