Clark 125th Anniversary | Merope and the Pleiades

Join us for a livestream celebration of the 125th anniversary of the historic Clark Refractor!
The program runs from 8-8:45 pm MST and includes:

•Lowell Historian Kevin Schindler will discuss famous visitors to the Clark in the past, from pop culture icons to leading politicians.
•Lowell educators at the Clark Refractor will share live views of the Pleiades and its member star Merope, which VM Slipher studied in proving the existence of interstellar dust.
•Astronomy Magazine Editor-in-Chief Dave Eicher will join Schindler to discuss Slipher’s groundbreaking research and how it changed our concept of the universe.
