Lowell Observatory Camps for Kids will continue as scheduled for 2022. We are still closely following CDC guidelines and regulations on Mars Hill to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

2022 Saturday Early Learners Camp
Created for children ages 3 to 5, these activity-based, hands-on camps explore science and include STEAM elements. Camps are usually held on the first and third Saturdays of each month unless otherwise noted. Even though there are two classes offered per month, the same lesson will be taught throughout a given month.

2022 Elementary Summer Camp
These activity-based, week-long day camps meet Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm with graduation and family activities on Friday evening (circumstances pending.) Campers in grades 1 through 6 will explore the mysteries of the cosmos through hands-on science investigations. Topics include The Sun, Moon, and Electromagnetic Spectrum.

2022 Middle School Summer Camp
These activity-based, week-long day camps run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. They are for students that will be going into 7th, 8th, or 9th grade in the fall. This year at middle school camp, students will learn about the different types of instruments used in astronomical research. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.
