Uncover mysteries of far-off galaxies

Campers in grades 1 through 6 will explore the mysteries of the cosmos through hands-on science investigations. Topics include The Solar System, the Milky Way, and Life on Other Worlds. Our experienced camp counselors will lead campers through exciting team-building exercises and standards-aligned activities.

These activity-based, week-long day camps meet Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, with graduation and family activities on Friday evening (circumstances pending.) We enroll campers based on the grade they will enter in the Fall. For example, if your child attends 2nd grade this fall, they should be enrolled in the 1st/2nd camp.

Topics by Grade

1st/2nd grade

The Solar System: Campers will enjoy learning about the objects in our Solar System through fun, hands-on science experiments. Campers will also get to create and take home a moving model of the Solar System. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.

3rd/4th grade

The Milky Way: Campers will start with a tour of our amazing galaxy – the Milky Way – covering things like star birth and death (including the formation of black holes). Campers will learn about the other galaxies in our Universe throughout the remainder of the camp and go home with a beautiful model galaxy of their design. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.

5th/6th grade

Life on Other Worlds: Campers will start with an incredible tour of our planet – Earth – focusing on life in all its forms. They will then explore the possibility of life existing elsewhere in the Universe. Camp participants will build a rover and send a personal message to a distant star system. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.
