A Part of the Astronomy Discovery Center

Orbits Curiosity will soon extend beyond just camps!

In 2024, Northern Arizona will be greeting the new, state-of-the-art, 40,000-sq foot Astronomy Discovery Center, right here at Lowell Observatory.

The Orbits Curiosity programming will grow to include the Orbits Curiosity Zone, and entire exhibit hall designed just for kids, complete with interactive displays, climbing gyms, cuddly characters, and so much more!

We can’t wait for you to see what exciting developments we have in store, all to serve our mission of public education.

Questions?

Nope, everything about our camps will remain the same. They will just have a fresh new look, a new name, and some adorable new mascots!

Information on our camps will still be available throughout this rebranding process. Eventually, all information will be available on its own dedicated webpage. Links to the information will still be available on Lowell Observatory’s website and Kelly Ferguson will still be the point of contact for all camp information.

No, we have a process to notify families when camp registration is open, and it will not be changed by the rebrand.

The components that will get a fresh new look will be Summer camps, Preschool camps, In-school lessons, Field trips, and any lesson kits and merchandise developed for education in the future. These changes will reflect the look and feel of the ADC’s Orbits Curiosity Zone.
