Solvay Blomquist works with Dr. Nick Moskovitz at Lowell Observatory on a research project pertaining to meteor cameras and gathering data from meteor detections in order to find trends in meteor behavior based on parent bodies. During my time in this position, I worked to establish a new meteor camera station at Meteor Crater, Arizona develop a data processing pipeline to effective curate important findings in our vast collection of meteor data and design a new camera mount using 3D modeling CAD software. After graduating from NAU in 2020 with a BS in Astronomy and Mathematics, she became an observer for NPOI to pursue her interests in astronomical instrumentation.
