Rapid infrared IMAger Spectrometer (RIMAS)

The Rapid infrared IMAger Spectrometer (RIMAS) was built at the Goddard Space Flight Center in partnership with the Astronomy Department of the University of Maryland at College Park.  RIMAS arrived at LDT in 2021 with commissioning scheduled before release to users.  RIMAS was designed for Target of Opportunity (ToO) observations, and thus once commissioned RIMAS is expected to remain on Port A for some time to come in order to support ToO observations.
